Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty

Fantastic Views, peaceful location

Enjoying stunning views over moorland from its peaceful and private position, Yeka Byre Cottage offers a luxurious, peaceful & romantic retreat. We have converted a traditional sheep byre into a beautiful country holiday cottage, away from the bustle of the town. Our Weardale Cottage is designed to comfortably accomodate 4 adults, there is a cot available to sleep a third child (toddler) which makes it available to a family of five.

The cottage can be seen on many old maps and we believe it dates back over 300 years. Woodcroft Farm holds a place in the areas heritage, with history dating back to early 1300, and being the ancestral home of the Blackett family.

The North Pennines have been designated as an "Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty", with spectacular walks including the Weardale Way which passes through our farm and the Pennine Way which is within easy reach.

Nearby Stanhope

The village of Stanhope has good everyday shopping together with pubs and cafes serving good food. There is a Farmers Market in Stanhope on the last Saturday of the month.
